About US

HealTech is a next-generation digital health solutions company delivering context-driven, interoperable, and impactful health information systems across the African continent. From national health ministries to remote rural clinics, our solutions power the future of equitable and efficient healthcare delivery.

HealTech was founded with a bold vision: to harness the power of technology to solve Africa’s most pressing healthcare challenges. We believe that every healthcare provider deserves access to tools that enable timely decision-making, quality service delivery, and measurable outcomes.

In the realm of Digital Health Solutions, the company excels in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) customization, including Bahmni/OpenMRS implementations, DHIS2 integration, eCHIS, and referral systems, HealTech provides comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) & Software Testing, covering manual and automated testing, QA strategy development, test case design, regression testing, and UAT support, with specialized expertise in health and public sector systems.

Our team at HealAfrica has developed a proprietary Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, which is currently deployed and fully operational at two hospitals: Kemise and Bethel.

Though newly established, our company is led by seasoned professionals with extensive experience in Quality Assurance (QA), software testing, and digital health systems validation. Our team emphasizes strong QA governance, using traceability matrices, test data plans, and structured defect management to ensure high-quality, standards-aligned outcomes.

HealTech works with partners to develop, enhance, and maintain national-scale systems using DHIS2, OpenMRS, and other global digital public goods. We collaborate with leading health actors, donor agencies, and local innovators to build resilient digital health systems.

What sets HealTech apart is its unique blend of deep local expertise and global best practices, a proven track record in health informatics and digital public goods, and an agile, mission-driven approach aligned with Ethiopia’s digital transformation objectives.
